National Institute of Standards and Technology,  Electronic Book 2001, Authors, Applications, and Accessibility conference. Washington, DC, USA, November, 2001. eBook on pBooks: An Author's Journey. Presentation about writing a "paper" book about electronic books and publishing. Described the choices made and the value presented to readers by providing both a paper and electronic book (CD ROM).
Global Alliance for Transnational Education,  Quality Transnational Education: A Shared Commitment to Sustainable Development, 2001, San Jose, Costa Rica. The Pyramid and the Global Virtual Classroom. Participated in a panel discussion on the future of corporate training with ENTERASYS, Lucent, and Sun Microsystems.
